Dental recall list template
The patients a dental clinic already has are the cheapest ones to fill the book with, and the recall list is where most of them are lost. This workbook works out who is due, tracks every call and message, and shows how many end up booked.

|---|---|
| Recall list | File number, patient, mobile, clinician, recall type, last check-up or clean, interval in months, three attempt dates with how the first was made, the outcome, the date booked and notes. | Summary | Due this month, overdue, booked and the booked rate against target; overdue by how long; the booked rate by recall type, by clinician and by how the first attempt was made; outcomes after one, two and three attempts; seven months of recalls falling due against booked, with a chart; and the overdue call list. |
How to use it
Add your recall patients
Last check-up or clean and the interval: 3, 6 or 12 months.
Filter on this month
Status shows who is overdue and who is due this month.
Log every attempt
Date, how you made contact, the outcome and the date booked.
Reset after the visit
Type the new visit date and clear the attempts; the count starts again.
Who it is for
Receptionists and patient coordinators who run the recall calls, and owners who want to know whether they work. It opens on 260 patients on three-, six- and twelve-month recalls: recalls first sent a WhatsApp message book far more often than those first rung, and the hygienist’s perio patients run the most overdue, which is the list that matters most clinically.

Questions
What interval should I use?
Whatever the dentist decided for that patient: often six months for a check-up and scale, three for periodontal maintenance and twelve for an implant review. The interval is per row; Settings holds a default.
How is the booked rate worked out?
Patients booked, divided by everyone due by the end of next month including the overdue, leaving out the ones who declined or left the clinic.
What do I do once the patient has been seen?
Type the new visit date over the old one and clear the attempts and outcome. The due date moves on and the row drops off the list.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. Patient names and numbers stay in your file; nothing reaches Dentolize.
Recalls that send themselves
Dentolize sends the recall for the next check-up on its own, books from WhatsApp straight into the calendar, and shows who has not been seen in a year.
