Dental lab work order
Mark the teeth, pick the material and the VITA shade, and send the case with a prescription the technician can work from without phoning you.
How to use it
Pick the case and the teeth
Crown, bridge, veneer, inlay, implant crown, denture, night guard or retainer. On a bridge, tap a tooth twice to mark it as a pontic.
Material, shade and instructions
Only the materials that suit the case are offered. Tap the VITA shade, then set the margin, occlusion, contacts and what to do if space is short.
Lab, dates and stage
Pick a saved lab, the date you need the work back and the stage it returns for: framework, bisque or finish, or bite rims and wax try-in for a denture.
Print it for the box
The order prints with the tooth chart, an enclosures checklist the lab ticks on arrival, and your signature and stamp.
What a technician needs from the prescription
Most remakes start with a missing line on the order: no shade, no stump shade under an e.max crown, a bridge where nobody marked the pontic, or nothing said about what to do when the occlusal space is short. The form asks for each of these, and where you leave one out it prints a line to fill in by hand.
Save the cases you send often as recipes, such as a posterior zirconia crown, an anterior e.max crown or a Hawley retainer, and save your labs with their addresses, so an order takes a minute. Each order is numbered and carries a small code with the clinic’s name, the number and the date, never anything about the patient.
Save your design
Without saving, your clinic details, design and templates are cleared when the page reloads. Leave your email and they are kept in this browser from now on, and we will show you how they work in a Dentolize account, on every device and attached to patient files.

Questions
Is the lab work order free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark on what you print.
How do I mark a pontic on a bridge?
Choose Bridge, then tap a tooth once for an abutment and again for a pontic. The printed chart hatches the pontics and lists abutments and pontics on separate lines.
Which shade guide does it use?
VITA classical, A1 to D4, as buttons. A free field takes 3D-Master or any other guide and characterisation notes, and there is an optional stump shade for translucent ceramics.
Does the lab get the patient’s details?
Only what you print: a name or a file number. Nothing you type about the patient is sent to us or kept after you close the page.
Lab cases you can follow to the chair
In Dentolize the lab order comes from the treatment plan on the tooth chart, and each case is tracked with its lab, its cost and its due date until it is fitted. Thirty minutes on your own clinic.
